I Am Karachi Museum by School of Writing – 2 Days of Literary Awesomeness!

“Falling in love with #Karachi, all over again!”, that’s how visitors and participants of I AM KARACHI MUSEUM expressed their feelings. I Am Karachi Museum is a collaborative project by School of Writing and I Am Karachi. It was a two-day event held in Karachi at Alliance Française featuring an audio-visual exhibition, public readings & some good music!

The displayed pictures at the event was taken by the batch of students who were enrolled in Travelogues Karachi group, which is a travel photography and writing program offered by School of Writing for Karachi’s youth. Students who participated in this event and showcased their talent were brought together from different areas of the city like Malir, Lyari, Korangi, Gulshan, Defence, Nazimabad etc. The essence of the event was to highlight the true colors of Karachi and it truly did justice to the event name!

Along with soothing and colorful pictures, striking poses, lovely architecture and self portraits of Karachiites were displayed. There was also audio presentation representing Karachi in a completely different fascinating manner.

Overall, the event was truly literature packed sprinkled with jazz of entertainment to keep the visitors all entertained and energetic. Exactly like high and low notes of a brilliant symphony, blended together with perfection and originality! There was also live music session by Asif Sinan. And did i mention the true tarka of Karachi-ness? Dhaba! Yes. They had live dhaba at the event with our Pathan brothers making Doodh Patti & Parathay.
