So the right price of the phone and the much talked about Infinix Hot Note (#HotSecret) has been revealed. Now let’s find out more about this phone:
An overview: Infinix Hot Note X551 has been designed by French (well known for their art and style) and it actually reflects on the phone. It has a sleek stylish premium look which makes it stand out from other devices in the same range. There are 3 available colors: Grey, Copper Brown & Champagne Gold. I have reviewed Champagne Gold in this post.
Let’s look at the specifications in a little detailed manner:
a) Camera:
With a 2 megapixels front camera, it is just as good for selfies as any phone under Rs.25k range. It has 8 megapixels of back camera which works relatively well during the day time. As I have also used other China manufactured devices, I can surely say this one gives better result.
b) Battery Life:
Infinix Hot Note comes with a 4000 mAh Lithium battery which gives standby of 2 days. Well.. that’s what the company claims and I could not believe it earlier. However, it works well and stays for good 2 days without charging if your usage is not so much. And if you are an excessive user like me, even then with a battery fully charged (which charges fully in 55 minutes only), you could use it for the entire day. Play games or surf the internet, or just explore the phone. The battery surely lasts longer and the phone doesn’t heat up (which is the best part!).
c) Display:
It has a 5.5″ HD display with a thickness of 8.9mm. It weighs around 172g and it’s very light to roam around with. The colors are very rich and the difference is noticeable when you play games or watch your favorite videos online.
Stand-out Features: Infinix Hot Note runs on 1.5 ghz Octa Core processor and comes with Android Kitkat (4.4.2). It is dual sim. It supports both 2G and 3G. It has 16 GB ROM and 1G RAM and it also has a memory card slot which supports upto 32 GB.
My verdict: As I have explored and used the phone, I found out one of the best features which hooked me was it’s battery life. As a social media addict, I cannot stay away from my phone for long. It’s fun how the battery charges so quickly and stays longer. Also, the phone doesn’t heat up like my old phones (Samsung included!). But that’s not at all the best part. It is great value for money. All this much in a phone which is just Rs.12,900 is unbelieveably a smart buy and totally worth the price!

I think it’s a good phone under 12K, the only thing work talking is the 2-Day battery time. I still can’t believe it though! ^_^ Good review!

I found one issue and that is with the RAM.. If they can install 2gb ram with a slightly higher price.. It wont do much harm 🙂 Overall 4.5/5
